Russia set to return to international ice hockey following CAS ruling
The Court of Arbitration for Sport has ruled that Russian teams must be allowed to take part in international ice hockey tournaments. The IIHF had banned Russia following the country's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

CAF Reverses Decision, Keeps AFCON Biennial
The Africa Cup of Nations will be held every two years, not four as was planned, governing body the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Thursday after reversing an earlier decision. AFCON has traditionally been staged every two years, but CAF's surprise decision last December to move to a four-year cycle was not widely welcomed. "The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee today unanimously decided that the CAF Africa Cup of Nations will return to taking place every Two Years," CAF said in a statement.

Djokovic Faces ATP Finals Battle After Loss in Basel
Novak Djokovic missed a big chance to strengthen his push for a place at the end-of-year ATP Finals after a loss to Jan-Lennard Struff at the Swiss Indoors in Basel, leaving the Serb with precious few opportunities to make up ground in the race to Turin. Back in Basel for the first time in 15 years, the 39-year-old Djokovic fell 6-7(4) 7-5 7-6(5) in the second round on Thursday, his first defeat by German veteran Struff in nine meetings.
