Israel launches explosive thermal balloons over southern Lebanon Israeli aircraft have been flying at low altitude and dropping thermal balloons over southern Lebanon, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported on Wednesday. The Lebanese army has previously warned that these balloons pose a threat to citizens due to their contents of explosive and incendiary materials, warning residents against approaching or touching them since they are prone to exploding.
