أسفرت أعمال حفائر الإنقاذ التي نفذتها بعثة أثرية مصرية تابعة للمجلس الأعلى للآثار في قرية بهبيت الحجارة بمحافظة الغربية عن اكتشاف بالغ الأهمية، تمثل في بقايا تمثالين ملكيين ضخمين، أحدهما ينسب إلى الملك رمسيس الثاني، إلى جانب كتلة من الجرانيت الوردي منقوشة بألقابه الملكية.
