Coalition Intercepts, Destroys Houthi Ballistic Missile Fired at Madinah
The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said on Thursday it had intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile fired by the Houthi militia group towards Saudi Arabia's Madinah region. Coalition spokesman Major General Turki al-Malki said on Thursday that Saudi air defense forces had successfully intercepted and destroyed the missile. Saudi Arabia's Civil Defence had earlier activated its early warning system in Yanbu and Sharurah, alerting residents to the threat of incoming projectiles before announcing minutes later that the danger had passed.
