The U.S. has declared Ibrahim Charara, Lebanon's consul general in Detroit, persona non grata, following reports of his past social media posts that praised Hezbollah's 1983 attack on U.S. Marines. The decision was communicated to Lebanon's embassy, although official statements from the U.S. State Department and Lebanon's Foreign Ministry have yet to be released.
